Statistical modeling of Ship’s hydrodynamic performance indicator

The traditional method used to estimate the hydrodynamic performance of a ship uses either model test results or one many empirical methods and observe trend in fouling friction coefficient (ΔCF) over time. biggest weakness this is that as well here sometimes not well-fitted for full-scale due several reasons like scale effects and, therefore, may result an inaccurate prediction. Moreover, case novel design, it would be nearly impossible find well-fitting method. current work establishes new indicator, formulated form generalized admiralty with displacement speed exponents statistically estimated using in-service data recorded onboard itself. completely removes dependence on prediction ships. It observed predictions are based same underlying logic obtained from both found good agreement.
